TextileRefuge

De los residuos de la moda rápida a la vivienda asequible

La moda rápida ha provocado un aumento de los residuos de ropa, y Europa exporta ropa usada de mala calidad a países en desarrollo, lo que causa daños medioambientales, sobre todo en el barrio marginal de Chorkor, en Ghana. TextileRefuge transforma este problema en una solución creando Limetex, un material de construcción fabricado con residuos textiles y cal, probado en el Politécnico de Milán. El proyecto ofrece oportunidades de empleo, formación y viviendas sostenibles, promoviendo una economía circular. TextileRefuge reduce los residuos, mejora las condiciones de vida y demuestra cómo un problema medioambiental puede convertirse en una oportunidad de desarrollo.

With experiences ranging from product design to social design, we have created TextileRefuge, a project that addresses the challenges faced by developing countries through innovative solutions. We believe in the power of design to transform the social and environmental impact of our communities. Our mission is to inspire positive change by creating materials and systems that can respond to the needs of a constantly evolving world.
