抗氧化剂,保护和振兴皮肤

类胡萝卜素是活性氧(ROS)的有效清除剂,其抗氧化性归因于其化学结构。根据共轭双键的数量和碳链的长度,卤代动物的色素远远优于植物类胡萝卜素。卤虫类的色素主要是C50细菌素,具有先进的清除ROS的特性。角质细胞是皮肤的表皮层,最容易受到ROS的破坏性影响。在这个概念中,C50仙人掌提取物对HaCaT细胞系有非常高的保护性抗氧化作用。

Designer is current pursuing her PhD on Haloarchaeal Pigments and other bioproducts from haloarchaea, at Department of Biological Sciences BITS Pilani Goa Campus under the supervision of Prof. Judith Braganca. She is interested in scientific, sustainable, non-toxic and feasible products developed from the bio-compounds extracted form Halophilic Archaea. She has 3 yrs of Biological research experience in different research institutes prior to her PhD. She has done her Master's degree in Biochemistry and Bachelor's in Biotechnology.
