From October 16th – 24th the Green Future Club showcased selected young designers from the Awards 2021 at Yski Expo’s Rethinking Plastics exhibition! It is a part of the Concept Support program in cooperation with IKEA Stiftung.
The Dutch Design Week is the biggest design event in Northern Europe celebrating its 20th Anniversary with more than 350,000 visitors. The Green Future Club engaged personally with more than 4000 guests, shared 50 Green Trend Books, exhibited 10 currated award projects and hosted a breakfast brunch with Green Future Pitches.
What was exhibited? 3D printed tennis balls and ceramics, waste-based footwear, compostable shopping bags, recycled plastic HIFIs, cocoa beans being turned into cosmetic packaging, reusable pizza boxes, a wooden jacket and a bioplastic cuttlery set. The exhibits included nominees and winners of the Green Product & Concept Award 2021 with focus on young designers and their concepts for sustainable products, ready for the next step.
The exhibition was a meeting point for exchange and further activities. On spot you met Nils Bader, Director of the Green Future Club and Nikolett Madai, Project Manager of the Awards during Dutch Design Week. On selected dates you met the designers of the exhibits as well.
