Within the scope of our partnership with scandinavias biggest design exhibition, on February 12th the winners of the Green Product Traders Award were announced at Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair. For three days trade visitors could cast their vote for their favorite product out of the exhibits of our "Stockholm Pre-Selection". At the end Hürth (Germany) based Studio Niruk and the Berliner Designers from Projekt Samsen both received an equal number of votes and were consequentially both awarded with the Green Product Traders Award 2016.
With the "001", Projekt Samsens Lea Huch designed ultra-light, virtually unbreakable Sunglasses that are not only highly fashionable accessories but are also produced using ressource conserving 3D-print technology.
Just as Projekt Samsen, Nina Ruthe-Kein and David Antonin from Studio NIRUK succeeded in combining innovation and aesthetics: With their blend of recycled cork and concrete named „Corcrete“ they created a completely new material that is both visually and technologically appealing and was a highlight amongst architects and funiture designers visting our Stockholm showroom. We are happy for these two well deserved winners and are looking forward to more innovative and challenging submission for the Green Product Award 2016.
