When it comes to sustainability and energy efficiency, the word “waste” in interior architecture and design usually has a very negative context. The concept developed for the first Bohlsener Mühle store in downtown Lüneburg, on the other hand, is based on “intelligent waste” in order to benefit us and the environment. The model is nature, which produces in abundance and generally uses everything old to build something new. Particularly in the aesthetically designed construction sector, a particular level of intelligent waste measures is possible.
