The integration of glazes allows the division of a wall into overgrown and blank sections. Microorganisms can now become design elements of urban architecture and additionally contribute to the improvement of local climate: While the constantly evaporating rainwater causes a natural air conditioning, the micro-patina absorbs, decomposes and metabolizes pollutants from the air.
