The Cube + smart bench is specifically designed for urban and ‘busy’ locations, where users only spend 10 - 15 minutes sitting and using the bench functionalities – charging their phones (with cable or wirelessly) or using Wi-Fi. Combined with a CCTV system or displays for advertising, customers can monetize their benches and generate revenues. Cycling routes typically don’t have infrastructure for charging electric bicycles, and creating infrastructure (grid power, internet, lights) is too expensive. Countryside benches typically don’t provide additional value, besides for sitting.
