Addressing the issue of plastic packaging, PACKIOLI is a water-resistant soap packaging that uses artichoke leaf and pea pod bioplastics which are 100% biodegradable and locally sourced. PACKIOLI intended the zero-waste packaging to compete with existing plastic packaging in the market with its sealed edges while meeting the hygiene, logistics and endurance needs of soap brands and also compatibility with production methods such as heat sealing. By using artichoke leaf, it tackles the enormous artichoke waste, 80% of each artichoke thrown out - especially in the west of Turkey.
