Palm Pattern features the utilisation of an overlooked local resource which is usually discarded: fallen palm leaves. The decorative potential of the material is expressed through marquetry methods, using cutouts from various species of palms found in the vicinity. It is designed to bring nature indoors through the creation of striking patterns which can be applied on surfaces like trays, boxes and walls. Made of naturally-derived textures and shades, it aims to provide people a visual and tactile connection to the environment, and hopes to foster more appreciation for the earth.
