We address enjoyable high-density urban living, with new optimal daylight patterns, based on empirical research. We propose tiny rooftop living modules, which form cost-effective communities with balanced lighting in private and public spaces. The modules are timber extensions for typical industrial mass housing from the 1960-s, common in Russia and Europe. The proposal attracts diverse consumers, provides new compact residence with comfortable lighting, and increases livability of the existing housing plots. Rooftop living modules add social and economic value to the city.
