Repairing people‘s favorite pieces
For her master’s project „Traces of Use“ Hilke Scholz has been mending people’s favorite pieces and interviewing the owners about how they consume, take care and dispose of clothes. Together with extracts from the interviews, her works shall act as an impulse to think about the value we attribute to textiles. By not hiding, but enhancing wear and tear, she wants to change the connotation of repairing.
