Made from domestic resources, the Beetlechair comfortably transports environmental awareness into every home. As a reaction to the climate-related death of spruce trees, the velvety-soft Beetlechair presents the bluish-coloured beetle wood, long considered to be of inferior quality, in a seating furniture suitable for everyday use with ecological and economic value. My work shows constructive approaches to how design can make meaningful and solution-oriented contributions to current crises. The beetle wood furniture as a chair is the first element of an expandable idea.
