The Bio-Fender combines bioremediation with British canal culture by integrating oil spill cleanup capabilities into narrowboat fenders. Utilising coconut coir and bioremediation agents, it absorbs and metabolises hydrocarbons from oil spills into harmless substances, efficiently cleansing waterways without disrupting canal life. This eco-friendly technology not only protects the canal ecosystem but also promotes a sustainable community among canal users.
