BioStool

The zero waste stool, inspired by bio structures
Vote now

BioStool is a project that explored the idea of incorporating forms found in nature into a practical design, with the aim to reduce material usage. It also explored implementing strategies that would reduce or even eliminate the waste in the production process. The end result was a prototype of a multifunctional stool, made entirely from cardboard with a strong inspiration from the cellular structure found in beehives. The stool was then coated with a paper mache mixture, that utilizes the produced cardboard scraps.
