The Coffee Chaff Material is a water-resistant and biodegradable biocomposite, made from the inner shell of the coffee bean, a residual from coffee roasteries. The chaffs fiber-enriching content makes the material strong, flexible, and mouldable. Its semi-reflective surface has a comfortable structure to the touch. The material is perceived as natural and calm, and has an appealing scent reminiscent of caramel, licorice and roasted coffee.
