Guardian
Probably the most sustainable watch in the world
With the vision of making the watch industry and consumer culture more sustainable, Nordgreens Guardian was developed according to circular values. As part of this, an environmental analysis of a watch was conducted with scientists to innovatively optimise the watch design, resource use and supply chain for durability. The Guardian is therefore made of recycled steel from Outokumpu, the world leader in ISO14021 regulations. The Japanese movement works by automatic, and the bracelet and clasp follow durable design principles.

We are passionate about creating sustainable accessories and have proudly launched several collections of watches and sunglasses. Our design and material choices are thereby rooting from the minimalistic Danish design and our vision to extend the product lifecycle. With our products as the physical manifestation, we want to put respect and responsibility for the plant on as many people as possible.

Jakob Wagner
Der preisgekrönte, dänische Designer Jakob Wagner ist der Mann hinter dem Design des Guardians. Wagners Mission ist es nur noch Produkte zu entwerfen, die eine nachhaltige Denkweise fördern und unsere gemeinsame Zukunft verbessern. Für ihn ist der Guardian nicht nur eine bloße Uhr, sondern eine Bewegung und Mindset. Neben diesem und 5 weiteren Uhrenmodellen bei Nordgreen, hat Wagner seine minimalistischen, zeitlosen Designvorstellungen auch bereits bei Bang & Olufsen, Cappellini und vielen weiteren verwirklicht. Außerdem sind seine Arbeiten Teil der Dauerausstellung im MoMA in New York.
