MAJA
A home for local pollinators
MAJA is a new type of insect hotel, specially designed for wild bees. Set up in no time at all and filled with soil, you can place the wild bee hotel on your balcony, in the garden or in the wild. The wild flowers that grow around the sticks are designed to attract wild bees and also serve as a food source for them when they lay their larvae in the holes provided in the top of the sticks. It offers the opportunity to monitor the pollinator occurrence in its surroundings in an uncomplicated and elegant way.

Jan Cichon ist ein junger Produktdesigner aus Essen. Er studiert Industrial Design an der Folkwang Universität der Künste und verbrachte ein Semester an der Jan Matejko University of Fine Arts. In seinen Projekten setzt er sich mit unterschiedlichen Materialen und Fertigungstechniken auseinander. Er strebt an, nachhaltige Lösungen für moderne Fragestellungen zu gestalten, die den ästhetischen Ansprüchen einer sich stetig wandelnden Gesellschaft gerecht werden.
