Manteco® was the first textile company to apply a Life Cycle Assessment on recycled wool fibers (MWool®), subsequently approved by the scientific community and published as a scientific article in MDPI Resources and certified according to the international EPD® Environmental Product Declaration standard.

It was founded by Enzo Anacleto Mantellassi, who began the production of recycled wool textiles obtained from the regeneration of old military clothing and blankets.
