User-friendly, recyclable electrical products
PAPE is a product family consisting of a WLAN router and a smoke detector, which is mainly made of densely compressed paper fibres and contains a soluble and recyclable PCB board. These products are designed to be cost-effective and user-friendly in a closed material loop. By using unusual materials in electronic devices, PAPE is setting new standards for sustainability in this area. The foreseeable obsolescence of the technical components used is combined with a sophisticated end-of-life system.

Franziska Kerber hat kürzlich ihr Bachelorstudium in Industriedesign an der FH Joanneum in Graz abgeschlossen. Schon im Studium spezialisierte sie sich auf nachhaltiges Design und umweltfreundliche Materialien. Ihr Projekt PAPE zeigt ihren innovativen Ansatz, indem sie Paper Pulp in die Elektronikbranche einführt und das System dahinter neu denkt. Ihr Ziel ist es, Produkte zu entwickeln, die eine Kreislaufwirtschaft fördern und langfristige Nachhaltigkeit sichern. Mit ihrer kreativen Denkweise gestaltet sie verantwortungsvolle und zukunftsorientierte Designprozesse.
