RE-Form

Reformation of thermoforming materials

Re-Form is a thermoformable bio-polymer that offers an alternative to petroleum-based polymers with applications for rapid prototyping and consumer-packaged goods [CPG]. Our material is composed of sugar beet molasses and spent grain, materials that are considered waste and of little value. It is uniquely elastic making it suitable for thermoforming processes and keeps its shape after the release of a mold. Compared to polystyrene, Re-Form is biodegradable, compostable, and free of the negative impacts its petroleum-based counterparts have.
