Strandgut is a fabric made from seaweed that is used in a wide variety of ways. The natural waste product washed up on the Baltic coast is sewn with organic yarn, can be produced regionally, is biodegradable and thus follows the Cradle to Cradle principle. The Strandgut competition entry is made from 100% renewable raw materials. The sewn seagrass is a waste product from nature and is sewn with a cotton yarn. The material does not contain any oil-based materials and can be returned to the natural cycle.
