Cubio is a clean, modular biowaste container for consumers that encourages better waste separation. It solves the problem of unpleasant smells and pests by separating liquid and solid waste, keeping bio-waste dry and well-ventilated for professional recycling into compost and biogas. Its design eliminates the need for plastic/paper waste bags and is made from food-safe, recyclable PP, supporting material and energy cycles.

“Cubio” is a pioneering waste bin for organic waste that separates liquids from solids and provides good ventilation. It prevents pest infestation and unpleasant odors, and eliminates the need for paper or plastic bags for organic waste. This student project has great development and market potential, especially since organic kitchen waste will become more significant in the coming years, due to the increasing proportion of fruit and vegetables in our diets.
