Green Design was a special topic, therefore the Green Product Award was valued with an exhibition space of 180 sqm., staged in the areas Communication, Innovation & Solutions.
Main theme in the Innovation area was the presentation of a new process to develop Green poducts and services with a sustainable Business Model, we developed in cooperation with the Institut for Sustainability- and Quality-management. This was lined by newcomer-exhibits (e.g. Quinyin, nobox Butterbrot-Verpackung, Secondlife,...and interactive 3D-printing-experiments. Next to that, visitors could explore the future of recycling at an interactive virtual reality station by Huan Chang, chinese leading producer of waste separation instruments.
Solutions: More than 40 products were presented, explained, discussed and marketed - For example: Fashionproducts (Alice-Shoes, sustainable sunglasses, clothing, Remix-Bags)
Interior –solutions: worldwide unique flame retardant AND biobased Textiles (Eco FR) by Christian Fischbacher, DIY Plywood tables by Kirigami Design, handmade tiles ... up to new materials like natural, degradable Food-Packaging by VPZ or Recycle Seriesmaking products of recycled concrete.
Communication: In our totally 3D-printed communication hub (walls, reception chairs, tables, ...) we discussed cooperation-opportunities and market entries with distributors, licensees to foster international green development.
300 tickets for our event were sold out immediately – no wonder in view of Forum´s topic an quality of speakers. The Forum was organized by white Lobster (Host of Green Product Award) in cooperation with the Shanghai Design Week Ltd., the Collaborative Innovation Center of Eco-Design, Tsinghua University and LeNS-China, Learning Network on Sustainability, China, and many others.
Introduced by Jörn Beißert, Head of economy-affairs and Vize Konsul of Germany, the following speakers offered a multi-perspective view on sustainable design: Fang Zhong (Vice-Director Collaboration & Culture at Tsigua Universtity), Ling Lin (Director of China national Institute of Standardization), Gabriele Tempesta (Strategy-Director urban development, Yang Design), Qitai Cao (Artgogo), Yihe Ma (CEO Winsun), Wie Wang (Founder Up Artsh) - just to name a few.
The media feedback with 90 articles was overwhelming. We´d like to say "Thank you very much” to all participants and the uncountable supporters, helping to make this happen!
