Making Do
Dekonstruktion von Abfall und Wiederaufbau der Gemeinschaft
Dieses Projekt, das in einem stillgelegten Getreidesilo in den Londoner Docklands angesiedelt ist, nutzt die verfallene, industrielle Substanz der Vergangenheit und zelebriert den praktischen Geist der Geschichte des Standorts. Durch die Wiederbelebung der ehemaligen Fabrik werden ausrangierte Keramikobjekte und umliegende Bauabfälle wie Ziegel, Fliesen und Beton dekonstruiert und als neues Material für eine Reihe experimenteller Keramikwerkstätten verwendet. Die Verwendung von Bauschutt aus dem Gebiet zur Konstruktion und Gestaltung der Zukunft des Gebiets; die Dekonstruktion von Abfall beim Wiederaufbau der Gemeinschaft.

A highly motivated, socially-conscious young designer, recently graduated from Kingston School of Art with First Class Honours in Interior Design. Her work focuses on the loss of craft & architecture’s potential for social change, alongside the complexities of site and region, form & space, culture and community. Following a fast-paced & pivotal time at university & an education focussed on circular economy, she is stimulated by innovative solutions that are socially & environmentally beneficial, alongside collaborative, community-driven projects that reconnect people to their surroundings.
