Dispositivo flotante para reciclar microplásticos marinos
Un buque que obtiene su energía de los residuos térmicos de los barcos recoge microplásticos a lo largo de su ruta. Inicialmente, los plásticos de mayor tamaño se tamizan a través de mallas de varios tamaños y luego entran en la parte principal del dispositivo, que es una centrifugadora diseñada para separar los plásticos más pequeños. En esta sección, AI identifica los aceites adecuados para los distintos tipos de plásticos y los inyecta en la centrifugadora según sea necesario para coagular y separar los nanoplásticos en trozos más grandes. En la siguiente fase, utilizando los residuos térmicos del tubo de escape de la nave, los plásticos se funden y se convierten en granulado reutilizable.
