Chewthpaste
Zahnpasta-Kapseln auf Algenbasis
Chewthpaste ist eine Zahnpasta in Kapselform. Anstatt die Paste auf die Zahnbürste aufzutragen, beißt man einfach auf die Kapsel, um die Paste freizusetzen, und putzt dann wie gewohnt. Das Produkt wird denjenigen zugute kommen, die beruflich unterwegs sind. Hotels können ihren Plastikmüll reduzieren, indem sie ihre Mini-Zahnpasta durch Chewthpaste ersetzen. Die herkömmlichen Zahnpastatuben landen auf Mülldeponien, da die Zusammensetzung aus Kunststoff und Aluminium schwer zu recyceln ist. Die spielerische Interaktion wird auch für Eltern sehr hilfreich sein, die ihre Kinder nur schwer zum Zähneputzen bringen können.

Savio Mukachirayil
Savio Mukachirayil is a post-graduate researcher at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Graduated with BA Industrial Design from Loughborough University, then completed his MA and MSc at the Royal College of Art and Imperial College London respectively. Currently Savio is working at the intersection of material science and industrial design in search of sustainable alternative materials to petroleum-based polymers.
