ZOURI ist eine portugiesische Marke mit sozialer Wirkung, die mit lokalen Institutionen und Nichtregierungsorganisationen zusammenarbeitet, um Plastikabfälle an der portugiesischen Küste zu sammeln und in ökologisch-vegane Sandalen zu verwandeln. Die für den Green Product Award vorgestellte Innovation ist eine zu 100 % in Portugal handgefertigte Sandale mit einer großen Auswahl an nachhaltigen Materialien wie Plastikabfällen aus dem Meer, lokalem Kork aus Resten der Weinindustrie, Naturkautschuk und portugiesischem Leinen, in besonderer Zusammenarbeit mit: Herança do Passado Association, die mit einer Gruppe von 10 Webern die Tradition der handgefertigten Stoffe von Almalaguês aufrechterhält.

ZOURI is a social-impact Portuguese brand that works with local institutions and NGOs to collect plastic waste from the Portuguese coast and transform it into eco-vegan sandals. Since the beginning of the project, 4 years ago, we have been able to collect 9 tons of marine plastic waste, visit 57 schools and universities with our awareness program and work with more than 15 institutions in beach clean-up actions.
The production is made 100% in Portugal, 100% handmade in Barcelos with only sustainable materials: natural rubber, local cork, organic cotton, linen, pinatex, raffia, and others.
