Bloco Cobogó

Construction element from discarded marble waste

The Bloco Cobogó is a project developed at the University of Porto in partnership with TCC Whitestone. It is a modular design element for construction and decoration, created from discarded marble waste. Suitable for architects, interior designers, and construction companies, it promotes sustainability by reintegrating up to 70% of waste into the production cycle, reducing environmental impact. Its innovation lies in the application of Distributive Design, ensuring scalability and replicability in the industry while fostering a circular economy.

Adônis Evangelista
I am Adônis Evangelista, born and raised in Bahia, Brazil, where I developed my greatest passion: art. I hold a degree in Mechanical Engineering, which taught me various manufacturing techniques and methods, giving me a broad perspective on global production processes. Realizing my passion for design, I pursued a graduate degree in Industrial Design, combining art and engineering to create environmentally conscious products. I moved to Portugal to complete a master’s at the University of Porto, where I have been researching marble waste recycling in collaboration with TCC Whitestone.
