Isidro

Heritage and sustainability as origin

Isidro is a botijo inspired by the symbology of the water-Madrid binomial through its patron saint, San Isidro. This formal revision of a classic glorifies the precious element as an elixir of life. Its artisanal production reduces the environmental impact with slip casting, immersion glazing, single firing and local trade, taking advantage of materials and energy. The handle of the object becomes the nimbus of the Madrid patron and the jute band on his belt. White clay is associated with the pure soul and provides distinction in water pottery, truffled with the typical brown.
