Self-sufficient fish fry farm
A system of co-culture of microalgae and fish fry
M+F cultivates microalgae alongside fish fry, enabling fish farms to produce their own feed and mitigate the high cost of microalgae-based feed as well as the carbon emissions from feed transportation. Microalgae help maintain water quality balance, and by using different light spectrums, the timing of water changes in the fish ponds can be aligned with the microalgae harvesting schedule. This integration optimizes operational efficiency and increases water resource utilization.
