La herramienta forestal ergonómica y eficaz
PlantScrew es una herramienta ergonómica que arranca las plántulas de forma eficaz sin dañar las raíces. Una raíz "sana" aumenta la capacidad de supervivencia de las plántulas y da lugar a una reforestación más eficaz. PlantScrew no sólo aumenta las posibilidades de supervivencia del árbol, sino que también hace que el trabajo de los trabajadores forestales sea más fácil, saludable y ergonómico. Si hay más plántulas que sobreviven a la plantación, en el futuro se podrán cultivar más árboles plantados con éxito. La herramienta es muy fácil de manejar y permite a los propietarios de bosques privados replantar los plantones creados por el rejuvenecimiento natural en su propio bosque.

The university deliberately dispenses with artistic or handicraft prerequisites in the teaching of design basics. In contrast, all five study programmes focus on scientific findings and the rational justifiability of design decisions.

Dominic Hahn & Franziska Dehm
Franziska Dehm and Dominic Hahn are studying product design at HfG Schwäbisch Gmünd in Germany. Both are fascinating by solving problems with design. One focus of their work is the questioning of existing processes and the integration of sustainable aspects. As part of a semester project, Dehm and Hahn dealt with the problems of reforestation.
With the PlantScrew project, both want to draw attention to the important role of the forest and how it can be preserved for the future.
