Rehumectación inteligente de las turberas
El 97% de las turberas de Alemania han sido desecadas, sobre todo para uso agrícola. Los procesos de oxidación resultantes suponen el 7% de las emisiones de CO2 de Alemania. La rehumectación pone fin a estas emisiones. re:wet coordina y simplifica la topografía necesaria. Con el re:lab, los agricultores determinan las alturas del terreno, los niveles de agua, el espesor de la turba y la composición de la vegetación y almacenan todos los datos en un gemelo digital. De este modo, se pueden planificar, licitar y supervisar las medidas de rehumectación, modelar, certificar y comercializar las emisiones de gases de efecto invernadero y distribuir la biomasa.

Milan Bergheim is a product designer with a focus on system and service design.
For his masters degree at Kunsthochschule Weissensee, he focused on the importance of peatlands for achieving climate goals. In collaboration with the Greifswald Moor Center and funded by an ESF start-up grant, he is working on the implementation of his data-driven concept for the intelligent rewetting of peatlands, which includes farmers, value chains and CO2 certificate trading.
