Going straight into footwear design after 3 years of collage and an internship at Converse, Mathew worked for Rykä at one of Michael Rubin's first companies, where he learned efficient business strategies from 4 powerhouse women with years of experience at Nike and adidas. Later working for New Balance and Diesel he sharpened his technical acumen and creativity. Evolving into design management he took on the challenge of changing business culture through design. While only somewhat successful, he gained the experience necessary to problem solve seemingly insurmountable business obstacles.
