The Perfect Portion

Slow and conscious eating

A closer look at society's relationship with food reveals a pattern of overconsumption. Slow eating effectively reduces food intake by using physiological and psychological mechanisms that regulate appetite and promote satiety.
Instead of regular plates, food is served on a "falter" - the perfect portion for the perfect bite. The focus shifts from passive consumption to conscious eating, avoiding distractions. Folding becomes a ritual that encourages appreciation, and the material supports mindful chewing. The Falter sits comfortably in the hand and the perforation makes folding easier.
